Eco-Chic Baby Gifts

Yesterday my friend Shilpa asked for my help finding a high style, green gift for her friend’s newly born baby boy (hello baby Ezekiel!). After a good hour oohing and aahing over some plum picks, it seemed a good idea to pass on these fabulous finds and help other babes them get a hip and healthy start in life.

Kate Quinn Organics – Sophisticated Babies

Kate Quinn Organics features a gorgeous palette of vintage-inspired, two-toned clothing for babies and kids. I fell for the Kimono Dress ($28) and top-stitched Gaucho Pants ($24). Shilpa decided on the Ultimate Mixed Set ($120) which includes five differently-styled onesies, a pair of chocolate pants and a matching chocolate-colored blanket. All made from super soft, certified-organic cotton.

Speesees – Retro Modern Babies

Dandelion Pocket Bodysuit, by Speesees, ($22)

Speesees offers certified organic, fairly traded cotton baby clothing in punchy, seventies-inspired colors. Speesees is twice-certified: SKAL-certified = organic cotton, and an Agreco-certified printing process. The collection is made under fair trade guidelines in India. Like the Dandelion Blanket ($40) shown below, available in three colors.

Bamboosa – Bamboo-loving Babies

Bamboo-made onesies have one natural benefit that cotton doesn’t: they’re naturally anti-bacterial which means a cleaner-smelling little one. Plus it’s silky soft to the skin. Bamboosa makes these great tops and gift sets here — perfect for your precious little “panda.”
