Fab Design Q+A with Deana Bracken

03Nov06

Today’s shout out goes to Eco-chick for serving up a delicious design interview with Deana Bracken, principal of LA-based db design.

Bracken got her start with a Chicago firm designing commercial sets for high-powered brands like Coke and TWA, eventually moving on to producing segments of design show House Beautiful in LA. Now she designs green glam interiors for residential clients and sells custom designed furniture and accessories online. A look through her portfolio shows exactly how seductive sustainability can really be.

Old Hollywood glamour brought to life in a 1920’s California bungalow:

A few green glam pieces spotted at the online db green shop:

The Shirley Chair, $175
This one-of-a-kind chair featured a vintage iron frame stained with toxic-free paint in Peacock Blue, upholstered with a vintage leaf print.

Organic Glamourama Pillows, $90 each in ebony/agave, sky/adobe, earth/sky. Signature db pillows featuring gorgeous prints by organic textile design company Mod Green Pod and backed with organic silk or hemp.
